This past weekend the women and friends of New Dimensions Christian Center enjoyed a spirit filled weekend in San Destin Florida at their annual Women of Destiny Retreat. Theme for this year’s Retreat was ‘Unstoppable Grace for the Race’.
Ladies began arriving Thursday to take advantage of the “me time” experiencing massages, facials, walks and just plain relaxation at the San Destin Hotel located at Baytowne Wharf Village.
Friday night kicked off the event with a wonderful dinner with a choice of beef or chicken, vegetables, rice, rolls, tea and deserts that added to the feeling of royalty. The evening culminated with Praise and Worship led by New Dimensions praise team and Apostle Sherlene McClary, Senior Pastor of Greater Deliverance International Church, delivered the Word.
Apostle McClary preached form Proverbs 29:18 declaring that “Without a vision, the people will perish”.
“God is moving in our individual homes”, she began. “He is moving in the time with those who has a covenant with Him. It matters who has a connection to God.” She said.
“Elevate your mind. Stop looking back. You can’t hold on to the past and get what God has for you in the future. You’ve got to want out. God wants you to make a decision. Make up your mind you will take nothing less. Stop agreeing with others just because.” Apostle McClary said. “Trust God. Our faith is working in the dark. Break old habits-CHANGE. State everyday “I AM in the will of God”. Ask for strength to endure. Show me God what YOU want me to see in this.” She advised.
As she preached, the Holy Spirit’s presence was felt by all. No one was left untouched. Deliverance and healing took place as worshipers continued to give God glory.
Apostle McClary is deeply involved in providing not only for the spiritual life of people, but also for the Psychological, Social and Economic enhancement for them and the world. Whether it’s through publications, television or radio, Apostle McClary is committed to the fight for winning souls for Jesus. She is married to a devoted husband (James McClary) who also works alongside her with the vision of fulfilling God’s plan for his people. The McClary’s have two sons and a daughter. Pastor McClary is a Visionary, Prophet, Apostle, Pastor and known by many as a Demon Chaser.
Saturday morning began with breakfast with a leader. Ladies enjoyed a high energy breakfast of grits, eggs, bacon, sausage biscuits, orange juice or coffee. Prepared by Sister Lillie Kirstoffersen, not a morsel was left.
At 10am the Morning celebration began. Led by the NDCC Praise Team, praise was high and the Holy Ghost party began again with an Unstoppable Rally. NDCC’s own Pastor, Diane Burns, delivered the message. “If we as women are going to have unstoppable grace, we’ve got to do the right things; even if it is unpopular. Even if they don’t like you or accept you or if they criticize you, you’ve got to do the right thing. God will give you unstoppable grace. Even if they forsake you; even if your loved ones don’t like you or accept you. God will give you unstoppable grace. Keys for Unstoppable Grace are 1. Courage – Joshua 1 said Be of good courage. Be strong and of good courage. Be not afraid; neither be dismayed. For the Lord thy God is with thee forever. Tough choices take tough women. 2. Character- Your character is what defines you. It’s what people see and say about you. True character is shown in how you act in any situation. Romans 2 says don’t be conformed to the world. (Don’t look like, eat like, live like the world). 3. Commitment – Quitting is not an option. There was an Asian lady who was married and raised all of her children. One day she wanted to learn to drive. She had to take the bus 2 hours to get to the building. She took the test 950 times. She spent over $5,000 taking a driver’s test. She was committed. Some of you are going through something and you are giving God a timeline. You say if it doesn’t happen by then, I’m going to do something else. You serve God. He is King. God will cause all things to work together for the good. 4. Connection – Best seller author Sheryl Sanburg of the book ‘Lean In’ shared reflections on her life. The 46 year old billionaire shared that New Year’s means more to her than ever before. It comes only eight months after the death of her husband Dave Goldber, while on a family vacation, he passed. “Over time, I learned to build confidence.” She writes. Sheryl credits her connection to her ‘Lean In’ circles. “We all need people to encourage us .” Too often the world tells women why they can’t do something. Our friends are the ones that tell us we can.” God has called us to have unstoppable grace. We are in this thing together. 5. Confidence. He that has begun a good work in you, will finish it. Quitting is not an option. You are not alone. All things are possible with God.
