This presentation occurred on June 21, 2015, at the New Hope Missionary Baptist Church where the distinguished Rev. Gary Bryant, her pastor, is standing alongside of her with the scholarship chairperson, Mrs. Esther Phillips. Other members present were Basileus Ethel Coleman, Mrs. Della Roberts, and Mrs. Sylvia Todd.

Ms. Angela Weatherspoon, mother of the recipient, is especially proud of her this milestone. Her daughter is the first one in her family to apply to attend college. Keldra will initially attend Pensacola State Junior College. Later, she will transfer to Alabama State University College in Montgomery, AL, where she will obtain a B. S. Degree in Elementary Education. Upon registration, the funding will be activated. “We are very proud of her and it is our hopes that she will become a qualified as well as certified educator”, states Mrs. Phillips.
