Catholic Charities of Northwest Florida (CCNWFL)
implements an employment initiative.
Spirit Works, a career program, is available to residents in seven coastal counties: Escambia, Santa Rosa, Okaloosa, Walton, Bay, Gulf, and Franklin. The overall goal is to mitigate the negative impact of the 2010 oil spill disaster by providing services to 4,000 individuals across the region. To apply for career assistance through Spirit Works, calls are accepted in Pensacola from 9 to 11 a.m. on Wednesdays at (850) 436-6425.

The program awards between $1,000 and $10,000 to qualified minorities enrolled in a technical degree program at the bachelor level or above. The exact scholarship amount award depends on the student’s tuition balance, academic excellence and classification. Applicants must be academic high-achievers (3.0 or better GPA).
