As members acknowledged the leadership and love for their pastor, the crowd agreed totally. “We’ve got a pastor that won’t hesitate to tell you when you are wrong and when you are good. He doesn’t mind stepping on your toes. But he is all about helping you grow,” said Minister Vincent Fountain
Rev. L. B. Gibbs of Grace Temple Church delivered a dynamic sermon entitled “You Can’t Fool God.”
“”God is Still a Good God,” began Pastor Gibbs. We’ve got some mixed up people. We are a peculiar people indeed. As he began his sermon, it was taken from Gal. 6:1 ‘And brethren, if a man be overtaken in a fault, ye which are spiritual, restore such an one in the spirit of meekness; considering thyself, lest thou also be tempted. 2Bear ye one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ. 3 For if a man think himself to be something, when he ids nothing, he deceiveth himself. 4 But let every man prove his own work, and then shall he have rejoicing in himself alone, and not in another. 5 For every man shall bear his own burden. 6 Let him that is taught in the work communicate unto him that teacheth in all good things. 7 Be no deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he LSO REAP./ 8 For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Sprit shall of the Sprit reap life everlasting.’
You cannot fool God. I don’t how tricky, how sick, how many folks you have fooled in your life. You cannot fool God.
