Reimagining Pensacola One Community at a Time
On Saturday, April 18, 2015 Reimagine event took place in at the Corrine Jones Community Center from 10am – 3pm. Reimagine is an outreach event whereby businesses, churches, community agencies, and other ministries come together to serve one another, in events in and around the Pensacola, Florida area. The community leadership in Wedgewood got together and hosted this first time ever event and it was a wonderful success. Hundreds of people came from miles around to hear the music, get important information and help rebuild this community. The churches and other organization worked together to pass out food and clothing to those in need. The children enjoyed face painting and playing on the space bounce, while their parents and other adults got manicures, learn about fishing in the gulf, and health care information. The most interesting thing about this event was that the community had a prayer team, and ministered the word of God. This event was designed to help bring and restore peace back into community where so much tragedy has taken place. The person who is responsible for doing this in the community is Linda Dymecki English, she is also the person that is helping with the reimaging project in Brownsville as well as other Reimaging projects within several of the communities. Her philosophy is to rebuild the Gulf Coast one community at a time through Christ and hard work. She began putting together are team of volunteers in February and worked diligently to help the community regrow. With her vision to rebuild this area, people are being helped and hope is being restored back in the community. On next Saturday, April 24, 2015 the second Annual Reimaging Brownsville will take place. If you would like more information about this event or want to participate please contact Linda English at 454-5280.
