Pensacola Network Celebration Huge Hit
Celebration of the Pensacola Network on Friday, July 24th at DeVilliers Square in Historic Belmont DeVilliers Business District was a huge hit. The first Pensacola Network event was held in July of 2013, and this past Friday saw a very diverse crowd downtown professionals, community non-profits, government leaders, and business persons looking to build new relationships gave the event a party atmosphere. Lloyd and Robin Reshard, the founders and operators of the Pensacola Network, took up the chairs (that are usually for seating during the event’s interview of the month) and provided maximum room for networking.
The celebrations entertainment included a performance by the Polimbatree Griot Ensemble, four member dance group led by their choreographer Nielah Spears, electrified the audience with an African dance routine accompanied by Polean the group’s visionary. The guest interviewed for the evening was Michael Burroughs, Vice President of Power Generation. During the festivities the Network honored several of the sponsors present during the event. Every fourth Friday Lloyd and Robin spotlight a local community or business leader such as Quint Studer, Sheriff David Morgan, and Stan Connally of Gulf Power.
Lloyd and Robin operate as a team in promoting and managing each event. Robin has her own company Robin Robino Productions involved in heritage tourism research and events. She, also, serves as the Chairwoman of the Visit Pensacola Tourism Agency and has produced a DVD on the Historical Belmont and DeVilliers Neighborhood. Lloyd Reshard is the President of Pivotal Data Technologies, a company which provides technology consulting and develops mobile and web applications for networking purposes. He serves on the College of Engineering Advisory Board at Virginia Tech, the Mechanical Engineering Advisory Committee at FAMU-FSU College of Engineering, the Greater Pensacola Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors and the Board of Trustees Community Maritime Park Associates, Inc.
