On Saturday hundreds fought inclement weather conditions to attend the 12th Annual University of West Florida Festival on the Greens.
Like prior celebrations, community participants were introduced to local visual artists, musicians and craft designers.
“I think this is a great event for the children to come and take part in,” Glenn Vignolo said. “It is great to just have a clean family event – the art and music here is incredible.”
Bobbie Nelson, Escambia County resident, said his children enjoyed many of the free activities like face painting. Nelson believes introducing children to quality arts enhances and supplements their learning and education.
“I think this environment is great for children to be part of instead of just playing video games all day long,” Nelson added.
