Hard rain did not stop the show for the Sunday Seafood Social held at the Fish House Restaurant Sunday afternoon. Playing to a standing room only crowd, Yo Jonesy and the Crowned Jewelz had everyone rocking to the funky beat. “We were really pleased with the crowd considering how hard it rained,” said Patrick Hudson of PHP Entertainment. “It was like the Titanic. It rained and they still kept coming “There was no cover charge. People just came and enjoyed the music and food.
The event was held on the deck of The Fish House. Comedian Mark Gregory gave the crowd a sample of what to expect at the Comedy Zone later on that night at Seville Quarters.
“WE partnered with Comedy Zone every Sunday to bring comedians to the area. On November 22 at our next show we are having a charity drive. If you bring a coat you will receive a free ticket to the show.” He said.
“I was stationed in Pensacola 20 years ago and realized that Pensacola is a great city that is missing something. There are plenty of people that want something to do on a Sunday afternoon at 5 0o’clock and don’t want to go to a club but just want to enjoy some nice entertainment. So we now offer Comedy at Seville Quarters. “
“We also offer another event every 2nd Sunday; Poetry Bistro at Its Personal by
Shelia’s. This is a BYOB affair. Here, we have six to eight local poets perform and then we bring in an out of town poet.” stated Hudson.
