Does it seem that your computer running Windows 10 is ignoring your commands? Is it insubordinate? Is it giving you a hard time? If you are experiencing this behavior from your computer it could be that, it wants your attention.
At the present, your Windows 10 computer can only respond to speech if you have activated Cortana. It is not able to verbally start talking to you prior you speaking to it first. What does this all mean? Until Microsoft comes out with an update that will correct the nonresponsive action of Windows 10 when a restart is required after installing updates; we as end users will have to check manually for update restart.
It was so much easier in Windows 7 and the Windows 8 series when we could be oblivious to updates installed and restart required.
This is how you can do it. Left mouse button click on the Start button bottom left of your monitor; click on settings, then click on Update & security. The first selection that opens is Windows Updates. Look for any announcements referencing updates and or restart. Follow the instructions if any that apply to windows updates.
The other alternative is, right mouse button click on the Start button bottom left of your monitor; place your mouse over shut down or sign out; and see if it requires upgrade and restart.
If these steps do not help resolve the none-responsiveness of your computer do, a system restart and or shut down. If you do a shutdown, wait ten seconds or more before turning the computer back on.
