Born Ebony Weatherspoon, Lady Ebony discovered her passion for singing at an early age. She grew up singing in the church which concerted the foundation for her singing. As she grew older singing became her dream, now as a woman it has become her destiny and her healing. She has performed in local competitions, received awards and has been locally recognized for her accomplishments in the entertainment industry.
A rising star at age 26, Lady Ebony has appeared on shows with Southern Soul Artist such as TK Soul, Lomax, Vick Allen, Mr. Sam and Lacee; just to name a few. She has also appeared in major events such as the Original Spring Fling 2014 held in Mobile, AL. Lady Ebony has been fortunate to get the opportunity to grace the stage with Dr. Bobby Jones of “The Bobby Jones Gospel Show.”
Lady Ebony has a style of her own. She has the ability to sing various genres of music but her favorites are R&B, Southern Soul and Gospel. When she sings she captures her audience with the angelic quality in her voice. Each song she performs tells a story that leaves the audience wanting more. She is a 26 year old rising star shooting straight to the top; her desire is to break the glass ceiling and to go beyond. Her main goal is to become the most exceptional singer, songwriter and performer that God will grace her to be.
Lady Ebony’s hottest single “Jelly Roll” was released on February 20, 2015; Lady Ebony’s latest single “Urban Christmas” was released on September 29, 2015 on the WeeBad Records label. “Urban Christmas” is a holiday tune with a positive message that most listeners will relate to. The single was produced by CandC Records and it is available for purchase at most digital distribution sites. Lady Ebony is working on several other projects that will be hitting the airwaves in the very near future such as her new album “LETS DANCE the mix” (scheduled for release March 1, 2016 on WeeBad Records label).
Lady Ebony currently resides on Florida’s Gulf Coast, with her youngest brother, Calvin Jr. She founded the non-profit organization “WAR&DV” (Women Against Rape & Domestic Violence) as an avenue to bring awareness to these timeless age old problems and to let victims know that they are not alone and there is help and hope.
