The Pensacola High School Boys Lacrosse Team opened the season with a 14-5 victory over Seacoast Academy Thursday night, February 11th at South Walton High School stadium.

In a great Tigers team effort, scoring was led by Owen Battel with four goals, followed Billy Michael, Christian Fish, and Tristan Wu with two goals each.  In addition, Reid Sellers, AJ Lee, Bryce Harvey, and Nehemiah Jones scored one goal each.  PHS defense, Colin O Brien, Jamar Robinson and KD Lewis played exceptionally well as this was a good team victory to start the season. Billy Michael also played stellar in the goal the first half, before moving to attack. All 24 players that dressed for the game played.

This season PHS had 40 boys tryout for the varsity team, 23 brand players to the game. With a roster of 25 players, and nine freshman and sophomores on the practice squad the Lacrosse is growing at PHS.

Defenseman Robinson and Lewis, as well as midfielder Wu are seniors playing for the first time, and have cracked the starting line-up. Coaches and referees were amazed at the natural talent these players and others who are in their first year showcased in the victory Thursday night.
