firstname.lastname@example.org CRESTVIEW — Friends and family of Brandon Bess are anxiously waiting for him to return home.
The 30-year-old was last seen Sunday around 10 a.m. when he left his house on Antioch Road, said his brother, Bobby Bess, Jr.
“He told his fiancée he was running a quick errand and would be right back,” Bobby said.
After repeated calls and texts to Brandon’s cell phone and checking with local hospitals, his fiancée contacted Crestview Police Department and filled out a missing person’s report.
Later in the evening, when Brandon still had not returned home, Bobby started sending out a message on his Facebook page asking friends to be on the lookout for his younger brother. The post has been shared hundreds of times, he said.
“No unfortunately, this is not a joke, I wish it was,” Bobby wrote in the post.
Andrew Schneider, public information officer for the Crestview Police Department, said deputies attempted to call Brandon’s phone, but were unable to reach him. They alerted local law enforcement agencies to be on the lookout.
Since Brandon is an adult, there’s little that law enforcement can do until there’s evidence of foul play, Schneider said.
“Sometimes it can be a relationship issue … we don’t have anything to suspect foul play,” he added.
Bobby said it’s out of character for his brother to not contact his fiancée, and more importantly, his three boys at home.
“He was having a good time … he said ‘I’ll be right back,’ ” Bobby said.
