When Truth for Youth decides to give the children a place to have fun for Halloween, it brings joy to everyone. Monday evening, children and adults enjoyed themselves at McGee Field listening to hip hop music, while children played games of jump rope, hoola hoops and reading books for a dollar.
The crowd was treated to hamburgers, hot dogs, soft drinks and chicken gizzards.
Little ones, ages two and three years, was treated to a “train ride” pulled by two volunteers around the park area. “I want to thank my sponsor Choice 106.9 and WRNE for their support.
Dressed up in pirate’s costumes, skeleton and monster costumes, everyone presented a Halloween’s delight.
Truth for Youth has been instrumental in providing this event for a number of years. “We just want to see our children safe,” said Rev. Powell.
