Women throughout the Escambia County community came to celebrate God with praise and worship at the Epps Christian Center this past Sunday afternoon.
The ladies, dressed in white and red, praised, shouted and glorified God in high anticipation as music filled the air.
Evangelist Juanita Purdy, mistress of ceremony, continued the praise and led the audience into the program. Evangelist Wanda Burke gave the scripture and prayer. Sister Deaja Woods followed with the welcome.
Dynamic words for the occasion were delivered by Pastor Sarah Carty, Evangelist Lisa Grier, Sister Jacqueline Miles, Prophetess Cynthia Miller, and Evangelist Vickie Riggs.
Epps Christian Center is located at 2300 N. Pace Boulevard where Evangelist Sylvia Tisdale is pastor. The church is a ministry that helps minister to and feed the homeless. “I’ve been doing this ministry now for many years and it’s been a blessing to me as well as those who have participated.”
When Evangelist Tisdale is not serving breakfast at 5 a.m. every morning, you can find her tutoring children after school in the afternoon.
She encourages anyone interested in helping with the breakfast or tutoring ministries to stop by Epps Christian Center and pick up an application.
