On Saturday morning, March 24, women throughout the Escambia county community met at the First Baptist Church of Pensacola to enjoy a morning of fellowship, prayer and good food. Sponsored by the Christian Women Job Corps, Sheila Green, Director, delivered the message as breakfast participants enjoyed fresh fruit, quiche and various types of muffins.
“My title was repositioning and revamping the program,” Green said. “ We are taking this program to another level. More believers are working together in a different manner. This includes different churches as well as different religions.”
“Some of the issues we are tackling are young women in education that need training and women reentering the social system,” Green continued. “We will be working with a lot of agencies and people to make this organization stronger so that we will be able to reach more people. We are striving to make a difference in many lives.”
