Getting “Unstuck” at the Pensacola Network

By Tonya Jackson

Every fourth Friday of the month the power couple of Robin and Lloyd Reshard, host a networking opportunity and bring us back to the Belmont – De Villiers area. The Pensacola Network is an opportunity for business to display what they are doing and meet the public. It is also an opportunity for power networking because you never know who might attend. Businesses register in advance for the opportunity to have a table at this free event. The Reshards start the evening with networking, food, and drink.

This past Friday, January 22nd, the evening began with recognizing some of the attendees. Robin took some time to give a shout out to Admiral “Spi-Del” LeRoy, founder and publisher of Out Front Magazine, for his history of civil rights and entrepreneurship. Lloyd and Robin also acknowledged their sponsors in attendance Cox Communications, Pay Sell, the University of West Florida, The Pensacola Voice, Baptist Hospital, the Pensacola News Journal, Crowne America, Gulf Coast African American Chamber of Commerce, and the Greater Pensacola Chamber of Commerce to name a few. The door prizes for the evening were donated by the Popcorn King and

Dr. Sandra Winborne, the President of Winnie & Associates, was the guest speaker for the evening. Dr. Winborne shared with those in attendance how she went from working for the federal government to being in charge of her own destiny. She explained ways to identify what being stuck looks like and defined the difference between hesitation and procrastination. “Transitions are a part of life, but we can be prepared for them,” stated Dr. Winborne.

Robin and Lloyd would love you to join them for the next Pensacola Network on Friday, February 26th, 5:00 pm at 321 N. De Villiers Street.
