Pensacola Caring Hearts Served Over 400 Families in Town of Century

Ms. Fannie Finkley, the Founder and President of Pensacola  Caring Hearts put the Town of Century back on the map of receiving social services by serving over 400 families this past Friday August 28th at the Abundant Life Assembly of God Church located in the heart of the city on Highway 29.  Pensacola Caring Hearts provided boxes of food including meats, fruits, canned goods, loaves of bread, dozens of eggs, fruit juices, cookies, and much more.

Working in partnership with the Bay Area Food Bank the two organizations served their largest number of persons this year.  The hungry came from Century and beyond as residents of Flomaton, Atmore, and Brewton were also in line for the food.

Pensacola Caring Hears was organized in 2013 by Finkley, and her children, Ferlissa and Christopher.  Lee Avant serves as the organizations Vice President. There are twelve members and twenty-five volunteers that make up the backbone support for the group.  The number of the non-profit’s volunteers has grown over time carrying out various roles to ensure the process of giving away the food can touch as many individuals and families as possible.
