Production Companies Target Pensacola for Faith-Based Shows

IMG_8875 IMG_8883“A Night on the Town for Dinner and a Show” was held at L J’s Banquet Hall in Town and Country Plaza at 3300 N. Pace Blvd on Saturday May 16th. The faith-based themed event was produced by the L.O.V.E. Foundation and the His Plan for You, Inc. which offered gospel music, dinner, and mime dancers.  There was the spoken word by Jazz-spell Psalmist Ms. Shirley Terrell Stone, a riveting mime performance by the K. Hawkins and Company, the gospel sounds of Ms. Carolyn Braggs with the Antioch Apostolic Ministries Praise team, and a true down home meal prepared by T. Belton Catering.

The event was the joint effort of production companies out of North Carolina and Florida. The collaborative business initiative is focused on bringing professional print and film media producing to Pensacola and the greater Gulf Coast. His Plan For You, Inc. works closely with Streetlife To Redemption Production Co. which is a company that publishes urban novels and makes movies that depict youth in negative lifestyle situations which lead them to discover the love of God.  The storylines are designed to show life changing attitudes of youth which rescue them from dysfunctional lifestyles.

L.O.V.E. Foundation, based in North Carolina, partnered with His Plan For You, based in Florida, to establish a network of programs to aid distressed women and/or children in need. The L.O.V.E. Foundation, which stands for Ladies Of Virtue and Excellence, focuses on helping women and children who are in distress, while His Plan For You targets troubled youth from dysfunctional homes, that have had problems coping and have had minor brushes with the law.

The groups are planning to turn the lives of troubled youth around with faith based programs demonstrating the love of God through education and job training, tackling social issues, and building self-esteem in the youth. The groups are planning another fundraising event in August 2015, where a large portion of the proceeds will go toward the new building that  will house the production company and the job training programs.  The plan is for the instruction of youth in five areas of vocational learning including masonry, carpentry, electricity, plumbing, auto mechanics, and film production. The program is planned to be up and running by the end of October 2015.  For more information you can contact Ivan Brooks at (850) 530-4674.
