The champagne brunch was a culmination of activities that began Thursday night with a gathering for the members continuing Friday night with a King and Queens Party. “Saturday we had our parade that traveled throughout Ward 2,” said Pinky Lewis, publicist for the organization.
The organization actually began with a small parade around the neighborhood with bicycles, wagons and people walking and has grown to the magnitude it is today. “We are a 501c3 and a charitable organization that believes in giving back to the community,” said Lewis. “We visit nursing homes, give to the needy and answer the call when other organizations need help.”
