It was a day to be pampered and praised at St. John Divine Church in Pensacola, Florida. The 5th annual event was hosted by Founder, 1st Lady Terri Marshall on October 10th. Manicures and massages were provided by Fortis Institute and guests were also enlightened about lifestyle and health. Kesha Blount spoke on eating habits that promote a healthier lifestyle and tips on financial stability, budgeting tools, and credit score improvement were shared by Kolleen Edwards.
After lunch, there was a ten minute table topic discussion. These discussions were directed by Nakia Lindsey who discussed hair topics, Adetoun Sanders-make-up, Nicole Randolph-exercise, and Edna Rivers who spoke of shopping with coupons. These key topics play a major role in the lifestyles of every woman.
The most essential part of the program was the discussion of balancing faith and family. The Motto of Where Are My Sisters is from Romans 8:37 referencing More Than Conquerors. Founder/Facilitator, 1st Lady Terri Marshall led a panel discussion which consisted of Lady Rhoda Likely, Lady Nataly Hardeman, and Lady LaTonya Wesley who discussed how women can conquer the overwhelming reality of balancing family and faith. They each emphasized the importance of enhancing and maintaining a relationship with God.
Prior to the conclusion of the event, a ‘Gems in Jeans’ Fashion Show was sponsored by Dillard’s department store. The latest denim collection highlighted the elegance of all shapes and sizes as each model strode gracefully on the ‘cat walk’.
